We had a lot of work to do at our yearly check-in with our friends in the Dominican Republic. They run a mission clinic and construction ministry in a rural area of the county. It is always a very busy time when we visit because we only have a week and everything we do has to work even when the power and internet go down for them, which happens often.

Things we accomplished this year

  1. Updated PCs to run Windows 11.
  2. Installed and trained staff to use Mozilla Thunderbird. (This will let them read and respond to emails while their internet is down.)
  3. Added a network rack to their recently rebuilt ministry center and added a new PoE switch and Power Distribution unit.
  4. Ran new Ethernet cabling to places where it needed to go in the new building.
    Designed a new security camera system
